Transparent surface paper, as the base paper for low-pressure melamine impregnated paper, is mainly used in reinforced flooring with high wear resistance requirements for the surface after lamination.
Transparent surface paper can be added with Al2O3 (aluminum oxide) during the papermaking process or coated during impregnation to improve wear resistance and protect decorative surfaces. The impregnated product is generally referred to as wear-resistant paper.
This type of base paper is made from pure cellulose pulp without adding any pigments. Its weight ranges from 20 to 56g/m2 and it transforms into a completely transparent state when continuously pressurized; Due to the fact that the surface paper is also a carrier of melamine formaldehyde resin, and the adhesive absorption capacity is usually 2-4 times its own weight, the characteristic parameters such as adhesive absorption capacity, adhesive absorption speed, and air permeability are particularly critical.
