The most commonly used household veneer paper is melamine veneer paper. Melamine faced cardboard is often used for interior construction and decoration of various furniture and cabinets. Many people have a bad impression when they hear about melamine, and subjectively they are not willing to choose to use it to decorate furniture for fear of poisoning!

In fact, regardless of the type of board, it is essential to use glue in the manufacturing process. Therefore, free formaldehyde will be released after forming the board, but it is harmless to the human body at a certain concentration. While consumers recognize the quality of the board, the most important thing to pay attention to is whether the formaldehyde emission of the board used in furniture exceeds the standard and whether it will affect our physical health.

Melamine itself has low toxicity, is relatively stable, and will not release toxicity after solidification. The air pollution caused by melamine board used in furniture production depends on the medium density board or particle board substrate used. If the formaldehyde emission from the substrate meets environmental standards, melamine will not exacerbate material pollution. Melamine board has no odor, while some low-quality medium density boards may produce odors. There is no way to find a board completely free of formaldehyde, and the melamine in the market has also reached the national standard level. Newly renovated houses have more furniture, and formaldehyde is more likely to exceed the standard. In order to avoid harm to the human body, it is recommended to maintain ventilation for several months after decoration, and wait until harmful gases in the air reach the national standard before moving in.
